Clothing Care

Read the care label: Doing this first will help avoid any errors with washing, drying or ironing at the wrong setting. So please read the label and make sure you understand what the symbols mean.

As a rule of thumb, please follow this as a guide:

  • Wash at low/cold temperatures (e.g. 30°C) the majority of our shapewear is made from synthetic fibres such as nylon, elastane and polyester. This type of material is what gives enough compression and some stretch to our garments. If the wash is set to a high heat, it will lead to damage and shrinking. Another benefit of washing at a low heat is that it is sustainable, high heat wastes a lot of energy!
  • Wash with similar colours, this will help avoid dye transfer in the wash, especially any dark colour shapewear.
  • Turn garments inside out (where applicable), your garments will be cleaned more thoroughly as inside the garment is where sweat, dead skin cells and bacteria accumulate (causing smelly shapewear).
  • Do not bleach, tumble dry, iron or dry clean, it is best to air dry your shapewear as it helps preserve elasticity, otherwise, the life span of your garments will shorten. This also reduces our greenhouse gas emissions!
